Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Tamil as well as Telugu films in addition to a few Malayalam films. The year she was born, she won the National Film Award Best Actress Award for her performance as actress Savitri. Other awards she has won include three SIIMA Awards, a Filmfare Award South as well as three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy is the daughter of film producer G. Suresh Kumar and actress Menaka G. Suresh. She began her career as a child performer during the 2000s, and later returned to films after studying fashion design. The year 2013 was the last time she played the lead in Geethaanjali which was a film in Malayalam. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). The first film she acted in outside Malayalam was Idhuenna Maayam (2015), opposite Vikram Prabhu. The film didn't do well at the box office. Although the movie did poorly at the box office, her debut film came from A. A. Vijay's romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2005) where she played opposite Vikramprabhu. A busy schedule during 2015 meant that she had to opt out of films which she had already started developing, like Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye as well as Deekay's Kavalai Vendam, to be able to accommodate bigger projects. Within a brief period she also worked with Sivakarthikeyan in Rajini Murugan, Remo and was also the lead actor for Prabhu Sool's Thodari alongside Dhanush. She made her Telugu debut was planned in the form of Ainaa Ishtam Nuvvu. The film has been delayed since 2015, with the possibility of release in September, 2020 with a brand name change to Janakitho Nenu. Nenu Sailaja (2016), featuring Ram Pothineni as the actor was the debut film of Keerthy's. In January, Keerthy appeared in Bairavaa with actor Vijay and directed by Bharathan.
